JMC Racing

February 3, 2010

I hope to just get permission to use the history that was posted on the old JMC website which is no longer up.

In the meantime JMC stood for Jim Melton Cyclery ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JMC_Bicycles ) a bike shop in Azusa, CA. In 1975 they had a bike shop team and made some prototypes in 1976.  In 1977 they made production bikes, with the first Long Standard going to Clint Miller. Clint would go on to be one of the sports most popular Pros riding for such teams as GJS, DG and Kuwahara.  Read more about Clint on Wkipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clint_Miller

Thanks for the kind words, but nothing can compare to all the memories your dad gave so many of us. I never met your dad, but something tells me his passion for BMX didnt take away from his love for his wife and children. Ive been involved with BMX since 1978 and never heard a bad word spoken about your father.
